Trait d’Union is a film conceived by Gunsmoke that explores what connects French-speaking voices around the world: the universal power of eloquence.

The project features three young people from the French-speaking world, with contrasting backgrounds, languages, and origins. Guided by an eloquence coach, they meet, rehearse, and then recite a collective manifesto together. A committed, poetic, and deeply humanistic text that embodies the missions and DNA of the Francophonie: diversity, cooperation, transmission, and openness.

Trait d'Union adopts a sensitive and inspiring cinematic approach, where speech becomes the heart of the narrative. Through the power of spoken prose and the sincerity of its performers, the film celebrates the union of differences and the strength of the voices that build, every day, the Francophonie of tomorrow.
